Low Moor C E Primary School
Park House Road, Bradford,BD12 0NN
01274 600797

Low Moor - is a suburban community on the south side of Bradford within two miles of the M62

The School - serves an area of mainly private housing. In September 2000 it became a primary school, catering for children from 4-11 years. Currently there are 345 pupils on roll. Children are admitted to school in September into two pre-five classes. Usually there are two parallel classes in each year group.

The Building - KS1 is a semi-open-plan built approximately 30 years ago. The classes are based in two units with each unit sharing a wet area. Each class shares a quiet room with the parallel class. KS2 classes are housed in self-contained classroom - an extension and refurbishment of the school was completed in April 2002. There is an attractive hall, separate dining area, library, staff room, ICT suite, general work area (with five computers), Head's room, Deputy's room, Admin office and kitchen. Outside there are extensive hard and grassed areas.

The Ethos - Low Moor CE Primary School emphasises the value of the child as an individual. The school is committed to raising standards and plans to develop the whole child. Provision is made for the social, emotional, physical and intellectual development. The school is a happy, secure and stimulating place where the aim is to make all learning enjoyable and all achievements a source of pride. The school has close links with Holy Trinity Church and the local community. It is supported by local industry.

Standards - our school is proud of its SAT results and excellence awards for high standards from the Department of Education and Employment. The School had an Ofsted Inspection in May 2001 (see link below).

The Parents, Teacher and Friends Association - is active and supportive. There is an 'open-door' policy for parents. Many parents offer their talents and time to work closely with the staff and children.

The Governing Body - represents the Church, Local Authority, parents, teachers and the community.
