Market Weighton Infant School is situated on a pleasant, open site, which is shared with Mount Pleasant Junior School, in the small town of Market Weighton. It was built in 1980 and extended in 2000. As well as from the town, the school takes children from local villages, using home-school transport. The school has a caring ethos and values its warm relationships with children, teachers, parents and governors. There is an active fund raising group, Sterling Fundraisers, which gives practical help to the school, and contact between staff and parents. There are five Key Stage One classes and a Foundation Stage Unit, which has 2 F2 classes and a part-time F1 class for three to four year olds.
