All parents, guardians, teachers and staff at Middle Street Primary School are automatically considered members of the School Association. There are two main aims of the MSSA. First, the Association wants to add to the sense of community within Middle Street, strengthening the bond between home and school by bringing parents, staff and children together informally outside the structure of the curriculum. Second, the MSSA raises money for extra-curricula school facilities. Currently the MSSA is aiming to raise money to buy climbing equipment for the playground.
The MSSA meets at the beginning of every term and several times throughout the school year. All parents and carers are invited to attend. Details of meetings are always in the Friday News. We have recently introduced a system of class reps to improve communication between the MSSA and all the parents in the school.
The staff of the school are represented by Mary Noble and Sue Purdy in Reception class.
