The Aims of Naphill and Walters Ash School

  

Our school aims are to:

 

·        Enable all pupils and staff to realise and fulfil their potential

·        Maintain high standards of personal challenge, progressive attainment and self-discipline

·        Promote a happy and secure environment where pupils, parents, governors, staff and the wider community feel valued and welcomed

·        Promote school values expecting children and staff to be considerate, courteous,  co-operative, well-mannered and well-behaved

·        Provide a broad and balanced curriculum supported by diverse extra curricular activities

·        Encourage children to be confident, take pride in their achievement and to share the responsibility for their own learning

The Early Years unit has two classes.


Our early years teacher are Mrs Pascoe and Mrs Carter.

 

 

 

Year 1 has two  classes.


The Year 1's teachers are Mrs Fairey/Mrs Moore and Miss Fouracres.

 

 

 

 

Year 2 has two classes.


The Year 2's teachers are Mrs Childs and Miss Rawstorne 

 

 

Year 3 has two classes.


The Year 3's teachers are Mrs Banks and Mrs Robins/Mrs Gibbons. 

 

 

Year 4 has two classes.


The Year 4's teachers are Mrs Trickett and Miss Gwynn(Deputy Head), Mrs Ross. 

 

 

Year 5 has two classes.


The Year 5's teachers are Mrs Dunnett and Mrs Hawes/Mrs Wells.

Sports and Clubs at Naphill and Walters Ash School

Thanks to a new SSCo initiative Schools scheme, Year 4 children at Naphill and Walters Ash now have Tri Golf coaching.

Young Engineers Club

Welcome to 'The Young Engineers Club' at Naphill and Walters Ash School.

We are part of the national Young Engineers Club the web address is as follows:

Currently Young Engineers is open to Year 3. It always develops a lot of interest. As a member you are entitled to take part in competitions and also have benefits such as discounts to some attractions.

 

Parents and friends can get involved as well. Do you have an engineering background? Perhaps you could come and talk to the club or run a workshop on your particular interest.

About the Clubs

 

Naphill and Walters Ash Out of School Clubs provide before and after school care for children of Naphill and Walters Ash School. It also runs a Holiday Club during all school holidays, which is open to all children of primary school age.

 

We are a non-profit organisation, run and organised by a qualified supervisor and playworkers.

 

All staff are Police and Social Services checked .  The Clubs are registered with Social Services and OFSTED inspected.

 

Where will you find us?

 

The Clubs are held in the school dining hall. We also have access to the main school hall, the school field and the playground.

 

The children are supervised at all times.

 

What are our aims for the children?

 

  • To have fun in a stimulating environment where everyone feels safe and cared for.
  • To enjoy a wide variety of activities both indoors and outdoors.
  • To feel free to choose between activities.
  • To encourage the children to share, take turns and be tolerant of one another.
  • To encourage respect for one another and the club's equipment
 How do I book a place?

We can be contacted during Club hours on our direct phone number: 01494 563874

Alternatively you can call in and collect registration forms during Club hours or from the school office at all other times.

All children attending the Clubs must be registered using the main registration form.

The Clubs are licensed for a maximum of 32 places. When all places are full, a strict waiting list will operate. Names will be added on a first come first served basis.

What are the opening times?

 

Before School Club: 8:00 am - start of school (children are escorted straight to their class rooms.)

 

After School Club: 3:15 pm - 6:00 pm.

 

Holiday Club: 8:30 am - 6:00 pm.

 

We are unable to operate the Clubs outside these hours due to insurance cover and surcharges will be strictly applied for late collection.

How much does it cost?

 

Before School Club - £2.50 / session   (ad hoc sessions £3.00)

 

After School Club - £7.00 / session   (ad hoc sessions £8.00)

 

Holiday Club - £20.00 / full day   £10.00 / half day

Terms and Conditions

  • I will ensure that my child is collected by 6:00pm
  • I will notify the Club if someone other than those specified on the registration form is collecting my child.
  • I agree to keep my child away from the Club if advised to on medical grounds by my doctor.
  • I agree to abide by and support decisions made by the Club staff regarding unacceptable behaviour.
  • I understand that while the Playworkers will supervise my child they cannot be held personally responsible for accidents suffered by my child while at the Club(s).
  • I agree to pay for all booked sessions by the date specified on the invoice and to pay a surcharge if my child is not collected on time.
