Welcome to our School !
Ogbourne C. of E. School is situated in the centre of Ogbourne St. George, a small rural village of some 400 inhabitants, four miles north of Marlborough. The catchment area for the school comprises the parishes of Ogbourne St. George, Ogbourne St. Andrew, Ogbourne Maizey and Rockley. Consideration is also given to children from other parishes. Transport to the school may be provided for children living outside Ogbourne St. George but within the catchment area.
Originally founded in 1862, the school was rebuilt in 1974 in its own grounds, in a modern design. The atmosphere of the school is purposeful and friendly, emphasising the importance of the individual and consideration for others in the school, at home and in the community. We feel the ethos of our school is all-important, and we endeavour to create a very caring environment, in which we are concerned for each individual child.

The school at present is divided into three classes. These three classes embrace the primary age range 5 to 11. At the age of 11 most children normally transfer to our local secondary school, St. John's Comprehensive School, Marlborough. We have strong links with St John's and organise a series of planned visits prior to the transfer. Children not attending St John's will have the opportunity to visit their new school, wherever it may be. |
