We are a Voluntary Aided Catholic Junior day school for children between the ages of 7 and 11 years, under the trusteeship of the Diocese of Northampton. Governors are appointed according to the school’s instrument of government. Children can continue their Catholic education by transferring to St Joseph's Catholic High School or St Bernard's Catholic Grammar School at 11 (the end of Year 6).
The aim of our school is to create a Christian educational environment, in which each child is valued as a unique individual and is encouraged to value and respect others. Self-discipline, honesty, conscientiousness, co-operation and loyalty are essential values in our community. The intellectual, moral, social, spiritual and physical development of each individual is of paramount concern to us. Through living out the teaching of Christ in our school community, which is essentially linked to the parish and home communities which we serve and with whom we work, we endeavour to achieve these aims.
Each child is helped and encouraged to develop his / her Christian life. Christ is the centre of all aspects of our curriculum and the prayer and sacramental life of our community binds us together in Christ and is the foundation of our attitude to the wider community of the world around us. Our full Mission Statement is available in school. Parents who wish their child to opt out of R.E. are entitled to request this.
Every Child really does Matter at Our Lady of PeaceCatholicJuniorSchool.
