We are a small rural school set in one of the most beautiful parts of East Devon. Our school is very much a focal point of Payhembury village and plays an important role in helping to sustain our community.

We are a forward thinking school with a Christian Ethos and maintaining the important values of self-discipline, care and respect for others, good manners and care for our environment.

Our children participate in a diverse, challenging and meaningful curriculum, which inspires them to learn new skills and knowledge in Language, Mathematics, Music, Art and Sport. We also encourage their independence in thinking and problem-solving.

Payhembury Playgroup is held in Payhembury Parish Hall and runs four sessions each week - Mon, Tues, Thurs 12.45 - 3.15pm. We are a small friendly setting in a thriving village. The playgroup accepts children from the term before their 3rd birthday. Children recieve funding from the term after their third birthday and we ask parents to pay £6.50 per session until funding is available.

Payhembury Playgroup has strong links to Apple Pips toddler group. The group is held in the Parish hall, on Monday mornings in term time from 10 to 12 and usually attracts around 10 - 15 families from Payhembury and surrounding villages. For more information drop in to a session. We are working hard to create a smooth transition for children and parents from Toddlers to Playgroup. We are furthering this by having representatives of each group on the other Committee. This allows information to pass easily and the groups to co-ordinate events for the children and parents.
