About us
The school is a county primary co-educational day school having a Category A status in the County's Language Policy. Education is provided for both Welsh and non-Welsh speakers with the aim of attaining bilingualism for every child by year 6. The school is within the catchment area of Penweddig and Penglais Comprehensive Schools at Aberystwyth.
Activities
The school offers a wide range of extra curricular activities for all pupils and a high percentage participate in them. Older children are willing to help and encourage the younger ones when the need arises. Listed below are some of the main extra-curricular activities.
- Games – a football team and 2 hockey teams who regularly play on Fridays and in the Mini Minor League on Saturday mornings.

Rugby, netball, swimming, cross-country and gymnastics.

Urdd Club held during the Christmas and Easter terms offering a wide range of activities e.g. quiz, games, jambowerin, Eisteddfod, camps, art & craft, recorders etc.

Activities in the local community, e.g. entertaining the elderly, village Eisteddfod and Show, Thanksgiving Service and Christmas performances.

Fundraising events for charities.

Local and county orchestra and county choir.

Welsh Book Club – Sbondonics, Puffin Book Club and Urdd magazine – Cip.
The success of many of these activities depends on the co-operation of parents and friends. This we can always ensure and as a result the children benefit greatly from participating in such varied activities.
