In addition to the teaching bases there are facilities which complement curriculum access and provision for all pupils:
- a sand and water area, including a splash pool and hydrotherapy pool
- a well-resourced gymnasium and ball pool
- an ergonomically adapted food technology room
- a well-resourced, fully interactive library area including interactive technology
- a creative room providing opportunities to participate in design technology and art
- a fully accessible outdoor play area which has been refurbished recently, with state of the art play and exercise equipment
- a multi-purpose hall, designed to be used for collective worship, drama productions and a dining area.
In addition to the above, there is a dedicated ICT suite adjacent to the hall, which houses several computers. It is a popular area of the school, being well-used by pupils and staff alike. There is at least one computer in every classroom.
Every classroom has their own interactive whiteboard which allows pupils to access dynamic and engaging computer programs and curriculum software.
Pupils with profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) have a timetable to receive therapy and specialist support in addition to their learning needs. |
