Welcome to Premnay Primary School
Premnay Primary School is a small co-educational primary school situated in the village of Auchleven on the B992 just 6 miles south of Insch, and some 10 miles west of Inverurie. The school provides for pupils at the P1 to P7 stages in the Parish of Premnay, and we currently have 19 pupils. The school has served the community for over 120 years on the present site, and the current building was built in 1909.

| School hour activities
There is a small hard surfaced play area with no fixed equipment, and a well-maintained playing field adjacent to the school, the latter not actually owned by the school. When there is enough adult supervision present, the pupils sometimes go to play in the park nearby.
At the school we have bean bags, hoops etc which are used for PE classes.
During winter, P4 to P7 usually have time set aside for a day of cross-country skiing at the Nordic Ski Centre in Huntly.
Extra-curricular activities
Netball – coaching is every Wednesday evening after school from 5.30 to 6.30pm.
Football - coaching is every Monday evening after school from 5.15 to 6.15pm.

| We encourage the parents to keep close contact with the school and its staff, and the PTA exists to help with this. An elected committee runs the affairs of the association on behalf of parents and organises fundraising events. Elections to committee take place at the Annual General meeting. The current elected committee is as follows:

The School Board
Premnay Primary School has a legally constituted School Board with seven members. The Head Teacher is principal advisor to the Board, but is not a member and has no vote. The Councillor to the Board is Sheena Lonchay. The role of the Board is to discuss and act upon matters pertinent to the life and work of the school.
