About Our School
Priory School is a very large Primary School. There are currently 753 children on role. It is set in large, attractive grounds. We serve a mixed catchment area including the Britwell and Priory Estates and parts of Cippenham and Burnham. Our motto is 'The Children Come First' and this drives all that we do.
The school has two Resource Units. One for children with physical, medical or sensory disabilities which has 38 places. The school also provides Conductive Education for some of these children. The other is for children with Social, Emotional and Behavioural difficulties. This provision is called the Tree House and there are currently six children in this resource.
At Priory School our aim is 'To enable children to become innovative and creative learners who achieve the highest possible academic, artistic and technical standards throughout all areas of the curriculum'.
We are very proud of our many achievements. Our recent Ofsted Inspection identified many areas as outstanding. 'Priory is a good school with some outstanding features'. "We feel lucky that our little boy is in such a fantastic school". This is reflected in the views of the vast majority of parents. The visionary leadership of the headteacher inspires all staff, pupils and parents to live up to their motto of 'The children come first'. (Ofsted January 2007).
'Pupils engagement and enjoyment of lessons, their excellent behaviour and attitudes to learning and the commitment and dedication of their teachers make this a very happy school'. (Ofsted January 2007).
Priory is like my second family having been at the school for about seventeen years. It is such a delight and priveledge to come to school everyday and know that we are making a difference to every child.
