Message from the Head Teacher

I would like to formally welcome you to the Rowley Hall Primary Website. Our site has been up and running for a few weeks now and it continues to grow from strength to strength, we have received an overwhelming amount of positive feedback since we re-launched the site with our new design.

We are a friendly caring school where all staff work as a team to ensure the children develop intPhotograph of our Head Teacher, Mrs Townsendo lifelong learners. Parents play a large part in the life of our school and we value their partnership.

Visitors are always welcome; so step inside and get a taste of life at Rowley Hall Primary. Come back often and watch the site grow and get to know more about our staff and children.

We are a “Can Do” school. A key focus we have for our children is the “You Can Do It” programme. This focuses on 4 important areas as the routes for success. They are:-

  • Persistence
  • Confidence
  • Being organised
  • Working together

The children study the “You Can Do It” programme in every year group in school as part of their Personal, Social, Moral, Health Education programme. This provides our children with the routes to success.

My favourite area of our website is the Hall of Fame on the 'Pupils' Work', these pages show a selection of work created by our pupils at Rowley Hall Primary School .

If you would like to contact me for any reason you will find the contact details for the school on our 'Contacting the School' webpage.

Mrs Townsend

About Our School

Photograph of our school Rowley Hall Primary School is a non-denominational two form entry school with a nursery, thus providing education for 3- to 11-year-old children.

We aim to raise the level of attainment of all pupils by providing them with quality teaching and learning. We have high expectations of all our pupils.

Every pupil will follow a broad and balanced curriculum underpinned by an easily followed moral framework.

Times of Opening:

Nursery 8.45 am – 11.15 am 12.40 pm – 3.15 pm
Reception 8.45 am – 11.55 am 1.00 pm – 3.10 pm
Infants 8.45 am – 12 noon

1.00 pm – 3.15 pm

Juniors 8.45 am – 12.10pm 1.10 pm – 3.20 pm

This provides a total weekly teaching time of 21 hours for Infants and 23.5 hours for Juniors, excluding the statutory daily act of worship and excluding registration, morning, lunch-time and afternoon breaks.

The building is of the traditional style with individual classrooms. Other facilities include a Creative Arts Room, a small community room known as the Rainbow Room, a large hall equipped with gymnastic equipment, two well stocked libraries, a Computer Suite, a Play Area and a sports field. The school kitchen provides our own cooked midday meal.

In 2004 we opened our new Computer Suite named “The Enterprise Zone”. It is similar to the design of the bridge on the Star Ship Enterprise. We are very proud of our Computer Suite as it provides an exciting and stimulating environment for our pupils and adults to work in.

Our school is committed to working in partnership with parents, and actively encourage our parents to help out in our classrooms, and to get involved with the PTFA (Parent, Teacher and Friends Association).
