Our School is in Salisbury Road, St Judes, Plymouth, Devon, England. We are a junior school and we average 230 pupils. The pupils are aged between 7 and 11 years old. We use the top two floors of our very impressive building. We have the lower school on the middle floor of the building and the upper school on the top floor. We have year groups of years 3 and 4 and years 5 and 6. We have a really lovely library, large computer suite and science room. We also have lots of activities in the playground at break times. We have an adventure playground, Awillowgarden, environmental garden with a wonderful pond and a gazebo. Our playgrounds have markings on them so we can play games like giant chess. We also have a Den where we can go at lunchtimes. This is a quiet area where we can read or play board games plus many other activities.
We have many clubs in our school such as Puzzle club, Football, Netball, Choir, Dance, Recorder, Drama, Athletics, Computers and Gardening. We also get the chance to go on residential visits.
If we have problems in our school we can go to mediation which is where pupils who have had special training can try to help us sort it out. We can put our name into a sad box and then we can get help from the mediators. We have Golden Rules in our school which we are encourages to follow and we also have Golden Time each week. This is where if we are good during the week we get choosing time on a Friday.
Our Learning Support Team have their own learning support room where children can have extra help in subjects they may find a little difficult to cope with. This is a friendly helpful room where you can always find help. |
