AT Sandford School, we are committed to providing a rich and broad curriculum
which covers all National Curriculum requirements.
We also seek to offer children opportunities for exploring and developing an awareness of themselves
and their local community, as well as a growing understanding of their place in the wider
world. Personal, Social and Health Education (PSHE) therefore lies at the heart of the curriculum at
Sandford.
We also offer opportunities for children to develop interests and strengths both within the curriculum
and outside the school day.
Each area of the curriculum develops skills, knowledge and understanding progressively. They are
separate strands of learning but teachers sometimes take the opportunity to link and combine them in
planned units of work or ‘topics’ to give broader or more meaningful contexts. |
