Welcome to the Sevenoaks Primary School! Sevenoaks Primary

The aim of this site is to enhance the communications between the school and the parents.

You'll also find information about activities and events in which the children are involved as well as some examples of their work.

‘Sevenoaks Primary School provides good education and has some outstanding features. Standards in Year 6 are above average, and provision for pupils’ personal development is very good. The overall quality of teaching is good. The school is led and managed well, and provides good value for money’. Ofsted May 2002.

The school provides a sound child-centred education in a caring atmosphere, which reflects both the local and wider community. Within this ethos every child is encouraged to develop, to the full, his or her potential, both academically and socially.

To enable this to happen, the school provides a wide range of curricular subjects and extra curricular activities.

The basic philosophy of the school is that the education of the child is a shared responsibility with parents, teachers and governors working closely together to provide the very best of state education for all of our pupils.

The school was established as a secondary school in the mid 1950's and, therefore, has a greater number of facilities than most primary schools. In 1978 the present primary school was founded by the amalgamation of three Junior and Infant schools in the town and the name of Sevenoaks County Primary School was established. This was changed to Sevenoaks Primary School in September 1999.

Sevenoaks Primary School is at the heart of the community.
