Welcome to the Southam College website.

I hope you find this website of interest and that it answers many of your questions about the college.

Southam College is an 11-18 mixed comprehensive (community) school with approximately 1,100 students on roll. Our most recent OfSTED report (April 2005) gives us the top rating of 'a very good school' which places us in the national top 20% of secondary schools. In recent years the college has seen major improvements in student achievement and educational facilities, particularly since its designation as a Technology College in September 2000, as a Humanities College in September 2004 and as a Vocational College in April 2006.

As the result of a constant drive to innovate and improve, our performance in external examinations is consistently above national averages and shows a rate of improvement which exceeds the national trend.

A talented and dedicated staff have created a caring but work-focused ethos, within which everyone is challenged to achieve their potential. This applies not only to the specialist College subjects of English, Mathematics, Geography, History, Science and Technology but to the Arts and Social Sciences as well.

The College has an active Parent Teacher Association which has its own pages on this site - see the menu left.
