St John's is a Voluntary Aided Church of England Primary School situated near to the border of West Yorkshire and Lancashire, on the western edge of the area forming Calderdale Metropolitan Borough Council.
Our website is designed as a resource for all of the school community, including our children, staff, parents, governors and everyone else with an interest in the school.

Curriculum resources
Our aim in publishing our curriculum pages is to help parents to help us to enhance the broad and balanced curriculum that primary school children need. We hope that you will be able to provide some of the opportunities we find it so hard to provide enough of in school:
- Time to talk
- Time to extend and research particular areas of interest
- Time to visit museums, galleries and exhibits
- Time to read and look at pictures
- Time to use a computer to find out more
We hope that you will use this to enrich the quality time you spend with your children. We do not intend that your children experience more school type activities, rather that they are provided with opportunities to put their school learning into context.
