St Peter's Church of England Primary School - Chippenham, Wiltshire England.
St Peter’s is an exciting, creative place to teach and work. Our children love art, drama and music and we use these opportunities to teach the curriculum whenever we can. Our children behave very well and have excellent manners. They treat people with respect. As a church school, we have close links with our church, which is physically attached to the school. We have a special assembly in church every month when we welcome younger brothers and sisters, as well as parents and grandparents. In the picture, you can see Tony, our vicar, talking to the children. You can also see a class sharing assembly, when we share children’s work with parents.
We have an active School Council which meets regularly to discuss aspects of school life, including making rules for the safe use of the new playground equipment and how to be healthy. Recently, we welcomed our local MP, James Gray, and asked him questions about his work. He thought everyone behaved very well in assembly and he enjoyed looking round the school and meeting the children.
The local fireman visited school and showed us their equipment. |
