The school prides itself on the wide range of extra curricular
activities that it offers its pupils. Although these will vary from
term to term, the following are examples of some of the clubs:
Netball, cricket, rugby, football, athletics, gardening,
environmental, chess, drama, craft, skipping club, computer
club, choir.
Clubs normally take place during the lunch break or between
3.20pm and 4.30pm. Before a pupil can participate, they must
obtain permission from their parents. The teacher organising
the activity will provide a special form that parents should
complete and return.
Parents should be aware that occasionally
clubs may have to be cancelled at short notice and that in this
event pupils will be sent home. Parents should ensure that
they have made appropriate arrangements for their child if a
club is cancelled.
In addition to the various clubs that operate throughout the
year, children also have the opportunity to participate in
educational visits/activities. A residential week in France/Great
Britain is arranged annually for Y5/Y6, when they have the
opportunity to try a range of outdoor activities. During the year
each class will go on at least one educational visit. Other
activities/visits include Dartmoor, Mothecombe Beach,
overnight camp, farm visit. |
