WELCOME!!!
Welcome to Stowting Church of England Primary School
Our school is a Church of England (Controlled) Co-Educational Primary School, catering for boys and girls aged four to eleven years. Established in 1837 the school values its close association with the Church of St. Mary’s, which is adjacent to the school and is used on a number of occasions throughout the year for school functions. Being a small village school, a family atmosphere is generated, enabling close links to be established between children and staff. These close links are a central factor in all the school’s activities and pastoral care.
Our Aims
We aim in this school to provide a happy and relaxed environment where children are confronted with challenging and interesting work, where learning can be enjoyable, and a sense of achievement can be felt. We value each child as an individual, regardless of their ability and work is geared to the needs of each child.
We aim to help each child develop his or her ability to reason, to pose questions, to interpret results critically and make predictions, thus involving the child fully in the process of learning how to learn.
It is also our concern that we should foster each child’s spiritual, emotional, moral and social development. We aim to care for each child but also to teach each child to care about others and about the world in which we live. |
