AFT was formed in 1998 with a vision of involving the parents and children of the school in fund raising activities. The proceeds from these activities are held in an AFT account until a decision on where best the money can be spent is taken by the school and AFT.
To date AFT has donated over thousands of pounds to the school in cash and goods, after raising money through disco's,days out, summer and Christmas fayres and a variety of other initiatives.
This has only been possible with the help of parents and teachers who all help to organize and run these events.
AFT is managed by the following formal committee:
Chairman : Mr D. Faulkner(Parent and Governor) Vice chair : Mrs C Harrison (Nursery nurse)
This formal arrangement satisfies all legal requirements and it should be noted that all people related to the school have a say in the running of the association.
AFT hopes to bring parents together for a common cause : To help make our children's school days a little bit more special ,whilst having a bit of fun along the way.
If you have any questions about AFT or feel you can offer to help us please feel free to contact us through the school office. |
