Our Vision

Recognising its historic foundation as a Church of England Aided school in the Diocese of Worcestershire, all at Tardebigge seek to preserve and develop its Christian character where everyone is encouraged to value each other and the very special world in which we live.

Our vision for Tardebigge is that it is an efficient and effective learning community with high expectations of its staff and children. We want our school to provide a high quality learning environment, which is stimulating and supportive of all pupils and adults.
We want each child to feel happy and valued within a caring Christian community, to achieve his/her full potential and to be a responsible, confident member of society.
We strive for excellence and continuous improvement.

All our children have different abilities, some can read well, some can run fast, and there are those that just make your day. Here at Tardebigge, in our endeavour to achieve high standards, we try to recognise each one.

We:

· promote a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum valuing children’s interests and motivation.
· consider the building of partnerships with parents and the local community to be vital in promoting children’s education.

Parents, Our Partners

The part which parents play in the education of their children is a vital one. From parents, children learn attitudes towards school, teachers and schoolwork and the teachers learn much about the children. You can help your child enormously at home through hearing reading, helping with homework (as appropriate), conversation and playing games, etc.

To keep you informed about what your child is doing and progress made, the school undertakes the following:

• A termly curriculum newsletter, which will be sent home.
• Termly Parents' Evenings.
• Curriculum workshops.
• Two reports will be sent home: an interim report in the spring term, and a full report in the summer term.
• Parents will be invited to attend Class Assemblies.
• Staff will be available for consultation at a mutually convenient time.
• Parents are invited to help in the classroom.

Ethos Statement

The family that is Tardebigge School ensures all members of the school community feel safe and cared for. All individuals are valued, nurtured and respected. We demonstrate our Christianity in the love and care we show others and in the understanding and acceptance we have of other races, cultures and religions.

As an aided school the church is represented by a majority of the Governors and the teaching staff are in sympathy with the Christian faith as expressed by the Church of England. Recognising its historical foundation, the school endeavours to preserve and develop its religious character in accordance with the principles of the Church of England and in partnership with the Church at parish and diocesan level.

The school aims to serve its community by providing an education of the highest quality within the context of Christian belief and practice. It encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith, and promotes Christian values through the experience it offers to all its pupils.

As a Church of England School we aim to treat every pupil as unique in the sight of God; to create an atmosphere of serving Christ in others; and to provide a Christian environment for every pupil, including opportunities to worship together and learn about other world faiths.
