The Oak Tree Primary was formed on the first of January, 1999, after the amalgamation of Newtown Juniors and Newtown Infants school. The Juniors were already situated in the existing school, and it wasn't until September 2000 when the Infants moved up to join them so they were all under one roof! The School has gone from strength to strength over the last six years. We now have a staff of over 70 people with a broad range of knowledge and expertise.

At Oaktree, not only do the children work hard during lessons, they also work very hard during playtime, lunch time and after school. Last year loads of clubs were set up for the children to join during their free time - clubs from cookery to craft, ICT to netball.
There is so much choice the childrens only problem is deciding which clubs they want to join!!
Below you will find the results of recent games or tournaments our school's sports teams have been playing in.
