About the Accommodation Service
The Accommodation Service is based at Kellet Lodge in Tennis Court Road, Cambridge. We are normally open Monday to Friday from 9 am to 12.45 and 2.00 to 4.45 pm.

The Accommodation Service exists to help all members of Cambridge University, from students and academics to staff and visiting scholars, to find suitable accommodation. Although all of our properties are listed on our database you are very welcome to visit us to discuss your requirements.
We hold details of privately rented properties including flats, houses, rooms in shared houses and rooms. Properties are available on both long and short-term basis. It is more difficult to obtain self-contained accommodation for periods of less than six months. This office liaises with the Newcomers and Visiting Scholars.
We have details of self-contained properties owned by the University, which are available to post-graduate students, academics, staff and visiting scholars. The minimum let is normally twelve months up to a maximum stay of two years. Rents are competitive but there is a waiting list.

Fees for Services
Access to the Accommodation Service is free to those seeking accommodation currently attached to the University of Cambridge. However the following administration charges apply to others:
Visiting students who are not working/studying at the University of Cambridge ie: those on work placement from another University £14
Unofficial visitors to the University ie: those attending Summer schools or working in the University Library £28 (from 1 August 2007)
Landlords registering Summer lets £24 (£30 for Summer 2008)
Landlords registering 3 or more properties £28 (from 1 August 2007)
Payment should be made by cash, cheque or sterling travellers cheque to University of Cambridge and sent to Kellet Lodge, Tennis Court Road, Cambridge, CB2 1QJ.
Other Services
The Accommodation Service sells maps (£1). Useful guidance on rents, letting arrangements and tenancy agreements will be given. We can offer information on schools, banking, medical practices and other local facilities.

Bed and Breakfast Accommodation
For short stays (two weeks or less), Bed and Breakfast accommodation is the easiest and most economical means of accommodation in Cambridge.
The Accommodation Service has complied the following list of providers. Prices indicated are correct to the best of our knowledge. No responsibility can be accepted for errors or omissions in this information.
