About Our School
Victoria Infant School is a County Maintained Infant School catering for girls and boys aged 4 to 7 years.
Our school building dates back to 1900, but was remodeled in 1973/74 to provide practical, modern infant school accommodation. Further improvements to the school hall and dining area were carried out in 1988. The building was rewired and redecorated, inside and out, in 1990. The school was re-modeled in 1997. |
The school in conveniently situated on the edge of town, and the local environment and community facilities are frequently used to enhance the curriculum and provide children with first-hand experiences, e.g. visits to the park, the grounds of Erddig Hall, the town library and our local churches.
We maintain close links with our feeder and link schools of Erddig Nursery and Victoria Junior School (which shares our site), we also liaise with our local playgroups, High School and Colleges of Education.
We welcome parental interest, and have a policy of Home/School liaison involving information exchange through newsletters, handbooks, open days, individual appointments and shared activities such as fund-raising, social events and parent helpers. |
