The School Day
Classrooms are supervised from 8.50 a.m. so teachers invite children in from 8.50 a.m. and in any case they must be in by 9.00 a.m., when the school day starts with registration. We do urge you to make every effort not to be late as it is very disruptive for teachers and children who have begun the day on time and children can be anxious and distressed if they are late - they need time to deal with book folders, coats, sandwich boxes etc., in a calm relaxed way so that the day has a settled start.
Morning play is 15 minutes. The children have the opportunity to use the Trim Trail and Adventure Playground on a rota basis.
Lunch is from 12.00 to 1.10 p.m. The lunch hour is divided into two sessions. Hot dinners are served in the hall from 12.00 – 12.25. Sandwich children eat their lunches at approximately 12.25. Arrangements will vary according to the number of children having hot lunches. The children may play outside after lunch, if it is wet they will be supervised in the classrooms by the M.D.S.A.s.
The afternoon teaching session is from 1.10 to 3.05 p.m.
