Welcome
Welcome to Western House Primary School. Formerly an Infant school now growing to Primary status, we moved to our new £4.5m building in April 2006. The school has 310 children on role plus a 30 fte Nursery. The school will continue to grow year on year until it has Year 6 in September 2008.
The school stands in attractive landscaped grounds and has excellent facilities; bright, light and airy classrooms and outdoor covered areas, a music hall, a state of the art ICT suite, interactive technology in every classroom and a large field and ball court area for sporting activities.
The staff and governors are committed to providing an extended broad and balanced curriculum and are particularly keen to support the Healthy Schools agenda, providing pupils with the opportunity of two hours of physical activity every week. We are developing the performing arts within the school; music is a particular strength. A music specialist teaches all the children and there are opportunities for pupils to be involved in choirs and learning to play an instrument.
We value all achievement, both academic and personal and hope that children will leave us with a love of learning and be well prepared for the next stage of their education.
