All parents are automatically members whilst they have a child at Wren Park: there being no membership fee or annual subscription.

The Annual General Meeting is held each year in October when all parents are invited to attend and elect a new committee.

Meetings to which all parents are invited are held approximately twice a term, the date and time of the next meeting to be found under forthcoming events.

The committee are keen to hear the views of parents and welcome any contribution of thought or ideas.

What do we do?

You will already be aware of some of the work of The Parents' Association.  We hold social and fundraising events and try to vary them so that there is something to suit everyone during the year.  Events which the children particularly enjoy are Discos, Beetle Drive and Chocolate Bingo.  The Christmas Fair and Summer Fete are the most important fund raising events of the year and require a lot of hard work by parents and teachers to make them successful.  Although the smiles on the children's faces would be reward enough, these events have generated funds to facilitate developments such as the provision of a new library. Last year we provided the resources for the bulb planting and helped to fund the Trim Trail.  Next year we aim to raise money to add to the school's curriculum resources.

The aim of the Association is to help and assist our children by being involved with the school.  We can only function well with active and enthusiastic members.  Please support your Association in whatever way you can and you will be surprised how much you enjoy it.

·        BALANCED, to ensure that each area of the curriculum is given sufficient time for it’s contribution to be effective;

·        DIFFERENTIATED, so that the needs of all pupils are recognised and provided for;

·        DYNAMIC, so that developments in technology, teaching and learning, international and environmental issues can be taken up to enhance learning;

·        PLANNED and implemented by staff with a shared vision and commitment; whose individual contributions, in whatever area, are valued and whose own development needs are recognised and provided for;

·        MANAGED efficiently by staff and governors working together towards agreed goals and continuous improvement;

·        SUPPORTED by families and the community whose partnership in the education of children is accepted and valued.
