The new School is an extention to the village hall. It stands in the middle of the school's field round the corner to where the old school stands. It is very nice with lots of windows to let light in. The foyer that is comfortable leads into the classrooms. There's a warm welcome for everyone.
Llangwm is situated in North Wales between Bala and Corwen. Llangwm is a very mountainous countryside and a quiet place. Farming is the main work here. The highest mountain in Llangwm is the Foel Goch. It is about 1900 metres. There are three tributaries flowing through Llangwm. Their names are Afon Cemig, Afon Medrad and Afon Ceirw. There's a big Forest here and Mr Gruffydd from the Hall is the owner.
About 150 years ago Llanfryniau (Llangwm) was totally different to what it is today. The people were poor and it had been raining throughout the Summer and there were holes in the potatoes and worms inside them. Llanfryniau people went to the Church and they had to speak English there. Llanfryniau people came to a decision that they'd build a Chapel. The Church people said that they had to pay a degwm (1 part of 10 of everything they had). Teulu Fron lsaf didn't have any money and the bailiffs said they'd take 2 cows from them. Early the next morning Llanfryniau's farmers were ready for them. Ap Mwrog shouted - "Move now"
But one of the Farmers said - "No."
He held Ap Mwrog and took him to Bont y Glyn and held his feet and swung him over the edge and one said -
"If you come back here we will throw you over the edge and let you go, ok."
"Ok."
They took his coat off and put it on inside out and placed him on his horse but the wrong way round and led the horse to Corwen and every one was laughing at him.
