These are the schools of study at Bath Spa University:
Bath School of Art and Design teaches art, ceramics, fine art, graphic communication, interactive multimedia, media communication, textile design studies and visual culture (including fine art).
The School for Development and Participation manages a range of activities that are generic to the university and important to its strategic plan. This includes all the activity previously within the Centre for Development and Participation. In particular: The Wessex Partnership with regional further education colleges; Widening participation; Links with business and the community.
In addition the school now manages: The PGCE for further, higher and adult education; The higher education qualification for academic staff at the university; Generic development for academic staff; Key skills provision for students; The Life Long Learning Network (LLN).
The School of Education teaches Education Studies/Education Studies: Early Years; Education Studies leading to PGCE Primary ('3+1'); Early Years (FD); Education Studies for Teaching Assistants (FD); PGCE Primary (3-11), PGCE Middle Years (7-14) and PGCE Secondary (11-16); postgraduate Professional Studies; postgraduate Education Studies.
The School of English and Creative Studies teaches courses in English Literature, Creative Writing, Writing for Young People, and Broadcast Media Production. It is home to two of the University's Artswork labs, offering specialist modules in the fields of Broadcasting (film, TV and radio) and Publishing (print and on-line).
The Graduate School administers the teaching of higher degrees validated by the University of the West of England.
The School of Historical and Cultural Studies teaches contemporary religions, Irish studies, cultural studies, history, media communications, and the study of religions.
The School of Music and the Performing Arts teaches music, creative music technology, commercial music, creative arts, dance, drama, and performing arts.
The School of Science and the Environment teaches biology, diet and health, environmental science, food nutrition and consumer protection, development geography, geography, remote sensing, and tourism management.
The School of Social Sciences teaches healthcare, business studies, psychology, and sociology.
