International Students

We care about you and we will do all we can to help you to achieve your academic goals.

Leaving your own country to study in the UK is a big step - a step towards your future. An undergraduate degree from Bath Spa University will give you a quality qualification, and as with all UK education, you can be certain it will be recognised as world class.

Support for international students in the UK is second to none - and at Bath Spa University we all work together to make sure that you become "the best you can be".

Each year, we welcome students from around 40 different countries to our institution. From your initial enquiry to application, from the pre- departure briefing to the orientation day when you arrive, we take great care to make sure you have all the information and support you need to confidently start your studies here.

This includes advice on immigration procedures, travel or any other information you might need. Our International Students' Adviser will help you find a place to live, and invite you to a programme of social events throughout the year.

Where Do You Want to Live?

You can choose from staying with a family (home stay) or on campus. As soon as we know what kind of accommodation you want we will arrange it for you. If you want to live in town our International Students' Advisor can advise you on how to find accommodation - but you need to choose it yourself.

It's Not All Work...

When you take a break from your studies you can join any of the many events organised by our International Students' Advisor, for example trips to London, Oxford, Salisbury and many local attractions.

Language Support

Our programme of Foundation Studies provides language support if your English level is lower than IELTS 5.5, and leads to direct entry to undergraduate courses.

Students from 40 different countries come to Bath Spa University each year.
