Student Accommodation
Official University accommodation is a great way to start your new life away from home. There are many benefits of living in Halls including:
- Free Personal Contents Insurance
- Safe and secure accommodation with 24-hour security surveillance
- Hall wardens to deal with any concerns and organise exciting social events
- Unlimited broadband access for a small fee
- Your weekly rent will depend on which Hall you choose but all our accommodation is inclusive of bills. Your reasonable rent pays for:
- All utility costs (gas, electricity, heating and water)
- Security patrols and any call-outs
- Weekly cleaning of common areas both inside and outside flats
- On-call Hall Manager for emergencies 365 days a year

New £20m student accommodation at Bedford campus
£20m has been spent on a new student accommodation block containing over 500 residences on the Bedford campus.
Liberty Park is a brand new purpose-built residence located on-campus, giving residents full access to the University of Bedfordshire. The residence is also be within easy reach of all local amenities and transport links. Liberty Park’s close proximity to the town centre allows residents to fully participate in the city's diverse culture and exciting social scene.
Over £1m investment and redevelopment at Luton campus
The University of Bedfordshire has recently invested in excess of £1m on improving and redeveloping the Halls of Residence at Luton campus.
At Bute Court, our redevelopment programme has focussed on extra security so you can be assured of a safe and secure living environment. There is a pedestrian entrance overseen by a security guard on duty from dusk until dawn, seven days a week. Students with cars will receive a gate-swipe card.
Nursing accommodation
If you are studying Nursing or Midwifery, you will have access to accommodation at one of the four University hospital sites. An application form will be sent to you when you apply for your course.
Accommodation in clearing
We guarantee accommodation to all first year students, so don't worry if you come to us through clearing. We'll still find you a place!
We offer you more than just a room - we provide you with a place you can really call home.
You have the choice of living in either smoking or non-smoking flats and also single-sex or mixed-sex flats.
The rent for the accommodation at both campuses includes the cost of all utility bills and also personal contents insurance.
All you have to do is complete an application form (pdf or online) and return it to us by the 31 August 2007, along with a £200 booking fee. Simple!
Investment in Luton campus accommodation
The £1m investment into the Luton accommodation has focused on providing extra security, so that you are guaranteed a safe and secure living environment.
The redevelopment has also introduced a pedestrian entrance, which is overseen by security guards all day, every day. The halls are a short walk from Luton train station and the bus station, and are also within easy reach of the campus facilities, the Mall shopping centre and the Galaxy leisure complex, which is popular with students.
The accommodation is arranged in blocks, which have secure entry and CCTV covering the exterior building. Each flat also has its own front door and unique key for the bedroom to maximise security. Each flat comprises of five to six bedrooms, a kitchen/diner, two shower rooms and toilet facilities. All rooms have internet access.
