International Students

A warm welcome to BCUC

British universities have a worldwide reputation and BCUC attracts students from many different overseas nations. As a result, you’ll find we’re an exciting, multi-cultural community in which you’ll quickly feel at home. There’s also a firm emphasis on practical, innovative courses that prepare you for the world of work.

Our experienced staff will provide tutorial support, guidance and counselling if you need it to help you settle in. In addition, we can offer information on finance, health, sport, welfare, accommodation and career opportunities.

Use the links on this page to discover why BCUC is the perfect choice for students travelling from outside the UK.

Learning English

If you need help with your English, BCUC offers a range of courses:
The English Language Foundation Course (ELFC):
This is a full-time course for students who intend to study in Higher Education in the UK.

The Intensive English Language Course (IELC):
This residential course is for students who are about to start their main course of study at BCUC, and who need an introduction to academic English.

The MBA Foundation Course:

This course is based on our well established Certificate of Management course and combines business subjects with intensive tuition in English. It provides a sound foundation for overseas applicants.

English for Academic Purposes (EAP):

These classes provide ongoing English language support for students who are currently studying at the University College. Classes are generally for two hours a week throughout the academic year and are usually arranged to take place on the campus where the student is studying.
