Welcome to Holmesdale Infant School

Holmesdale Infant School admits up to 50 children aged from 4 to 7 years old. It was opened in 1959 and currently has 126 pupils. The school is divided into 5 classes – 2 x reception, 1 x year 1, 1 x combined year1/year 2 and 1 x year 2. This academic year we have sufficient funding for the year 1 and year 2 children to be taught in 4 classes for literacy and numeracy during the mornings. In the future our aim is to have 2 classes in each year group but this would depend entirely on the number of children admitted and the funding that we receive.

The vast majority of the children transfer to Stonelow Junior School or Northfield Junior School at the end of year 2.

Staff We have 6 members of staff who are both experienced and qualified. Funding LEA Funding is available to all 4 year old children and also 3 year old children the term after their third birthday. Contact Mrs Curry at Holmesdale Infant School.
