Portway Infant School
Woodlands Road, Allestree, DE22 2HE, UK Derby
+44 (0)1332-550702

Portway Infant School opened in 1958. It can have up to 240 children attending, with a maximum of 80 in each year group.

Portway Infant School is often in the Derby Evening Telegraph. Foundation Stage have just had their photos taken and will be appearing in the next few weeks. Last year we were in for organising a toy sale to raise money for a school in Gambia and a Science day for year 2 pupils.

Recorder club is available for Year 2 children and will meet each Monday lunch time for 15 minutes. Please see Mrs Bentley for more information.

More clubs will be happening this year and more information will be available near the time.

The school council gives children the opportunity to voice their opinions, raise issues, suggest ways of improving the school environment, playtimes, dinnertimes and ensure together that the school is a happy place for everyone.
Twice a year children who wish to stand as a councillor write promises and all children vote for the two school council representatives for their class.
