At Ashwater School we strive to create a happy, supportive and caring
atmosphere.  We attempt to do this by encouraging children to develop their individual strengths and helping them to overcome any personal weaknesses. By being aware of these strengths and weaknesses we seek to enable children to thrive, giving them more confidence to tackle difficult, different or unusual tasks.

We want our children to be equipped with the skills, knowledge and
understanding to cope with life not only in our school but in their future
schools. We are about nurturing enquiring, confident, sympathetic and self
disciplined minds that will be able to empathise with one another's
problems and support each other in all areas of life. We want our school to be a safe place where the various members can  trust each other to behave in a responsible, tolerant and co-operative manner.

 Debbie Tomlinson

We aim:

To make Ashwater School a happy, exciting and enjoyable place.

To care and support each other.

To always try to do our best.

To keep on trying even when things are difficult or do not run smoothly.

To help everyone to feel successful.

To make the most of every opportunity.

To make our school a place we can be proud of.

A variety of after school clubs are held throughout the year. The following which can include Football, Gym, Art & Craft, Stitching,
Swimming, Board Games, Athletics, Gardening, Netball, Juggling and Country Dancing are run by staff and volunteers.

If you feel you  may have a particular talent / hobby that would interest or benefit the children of our school and would like to run
an after school club (3.30pm - 4.30pm) please contact the school.

A peripatetic Music Teacher visits the school on a weekly basis offering a range of musical instrument lessons. If you are interested in your
child / children taking music lessons please contact the school in the first instance.
