Our purpose is to give children - in a happy, caring environment - an education which enables them to achieve their full potential and take a positive role in the life of our school and their community. We expect all of our school to have a sense of involvement by sharing our aims. Our school is a small, thriving rural school housed in a modern building. It has a hall where the whole school can assemble, separate playgrounds for infants and juniors and a large playing field where children are activly encouraged to play co-operatively with a wide variety of equipment. Play spaces are well supervised. There are several lunchtime activities including tennis, football, cycling, netball and quiet areas, such as the Millennium Garden where children can relax. There are quiet areas in which to work outside of the classrooms.
Our butterfly garden and wildlife pond area are used as outdoor classrooms, bringing science, geography and art lessons to life.
There is a well equipped library and a computer suite with 15 PC's all networked and with Internet access, where whole or half class teaching can take place. KS2 has discrete IT lessons once a week and also use the computers within Literacy, Numeracy, History, Science and Art lessons. KS1 have access to the computer suite as well as having their own PC's within the class.
