This school is a place where teachers, children and those providing care or support, help and encourage each other to do their best. Our approach ensures that children are taught all the basic skills and that any difficulties are tackled early. We have a clear and effective discipline policy and make our curriculum, exciting and creative so that children of all abilities make very good progress and really enjoy school.

We are always happy to see parents, especially if something is worrying them or us. Mr Glenny is also very willing to see parents who have particular concerns.

Early in the autumn term parents are invited into the school to met the teacher and discuss the year ahead. They also receive a newsletter explaining what their child will be learning and how they can help.

Twice a year we make opportunities to talk with parents (by appointment) so that we can go over their child's progress and discuss any areas for improvement.

In the summer term we send home written reports and parents are offered the opportunity to discuss any matters arising from them.

We welcome the support and encouragement parents give for homework.

Most children also benefit from reading (or being read to) at home.

Each week parents receive a newsletter that contains news and practical information about dates and times of events and visits.
