Our curriculum is enriched and enhanced through a vast range of other activities. Involvement in sports and recreational activities is exceptionally high, and there is a high demand for Outdoor Education and extra-curricular activities. Admission criteria are laid down by Devon County Council and because of the popularity of Ivybridge Community College, places are normally only offered to children in Categories 1 and 2 (although children in other categories sometimes succeed in gaining places later in the year).

Students need to be happy if they are to become good learners and at the heart of our care for students is our relationship with the parent.
The College continues to develop effective systems to ensure the highest levels of safety and welfare of all students.
Students say we care about their well being and parents feel involved in supporting the progress of their child through effective structures that are in place for consultation from Year 5 onwards. This ensures that parents are continuously updated and informed about how they can support their child’s academic progress and personal development.
