Kelly College is a small, co-educational, boarding and day school, which occupies a beautiful site on the outskirts of Tavistock, overlooking the Dartmoor National Park.

Kelly College aims to develop as fully as possible the academic potential of each of its pupils, from Oxbridge candidates to those with more modest abilities. In recent years, every leaver who has wished to proceed to higher education has been successful.

Classes are kept small - as a result, the pupil has the individual attention from members of the teaching staff that is essential to ensure sound progress is made.

Both boarding and day pupils are members of a House community. Members of the academic staff are appointed, in their role as personal tutors, to keep a firm but friendly eye on each pupil's progress both in and out of the classroom. Regular reporting and close communication with pupils ensure that any problems can be identified and dealt with promptly.

Kelly has a strong reputation for its sport. Specialist coaching at every level of the school ensures that each pupil is able to develop his or her particular talents to the full. We recognise the important role sport plays in developing the values of teamwork, alongside the self-discipline required in individual sports. In addition to its fine record in all the major sports and the excellence of its playing fields, Kelly has an international reputation in swimming and triathlon.

Kelly College Junior School is situated at Hazeldon on the edge of the Dartmoor National Park, less than a mile from the main Kelly College site. Pupils are taught in small classes using a combination of traditional and modern methods. Extensive use is made of facilities at the Senior School. The syllabus concentrates on the core subjects of language, reading and number, but extends beyond the National Curriculum to include French, Technology and ICT, as well as a full range of sports and after school clubs.
