We offer a wide range of popular outdoor and indoor activities including accessing local beaches for swimming, body boarding, kite flying, crabbing etc; in addition to others such as horse riding, football, bike rides, pool, badminton, basketball, arts and crafts, cooking, go-carting, snooker, indoor games, computers and many more.
Off road motor biking on the school field is particularly popular with the boys, who are able to participate in a 'Steady Eddie' practical and theory test to prove their competence and safety control.
At all times the school endeavours to participate in inclusive community-based activities. Whilst recognising the needs of the individual, all students are encouraged to participate in group situations. At meal times they are seated at small tables alongside staff to encourage family values, sociability and appropriate behaviour. At such times students are encouraged to 'educate their palates' and try new foods, all of which are prepared and cooked to a very high standard in our own kitchens.
The evenings and weekends provide structure and routine for the boys, offering consistency, realistic and known expectations from staff, and the opportunity to develop self-discipline, responsibility and control. This structure underpins the whole school philosophy and is under constant review to ensure that it remains appropriate.
