At Offwell we are proud of our school; you will find a friendly and family atmosphere where we get to know each child whilst fostering a sense of community responsibility. Our Christian values underpin everything we do: providing a safe, supportive and encouraging environment in which children's learning is paramount, whilst ensuring that their school days are enjoyable.
A Mother and Toddler group meets in Cotleigh Village Hall every
Tuesday afternoon, from
1.30 - 3.30 p.m. Everyone is welcome.
The Playgroup meets in Cotleigh Village Hall hall at the following times:
Monday - Wednesday - 9.15 am to 12.15 pm
It provides strong childcare for 3 and 4 year olds, and welcomes children from Honiton and
surrounding villages. Government funding is available for all children the term after they are 3.
The school follows the Devon County Council admission policy involving a two point entry system.
Children with birthdays falling between 1st September and 29th February (inclusive) are admitted
full-time in the September of the academic year of their 5th birthday. Children born between 1st
March and 31st August (inclusive) are admitted full-time in the appropriate January. Part-time
visits will be arranged on an informal basis during the half-term before full-time admission to
help the children to become familiar with the people, the buildings and the school routine before
their full-time education begins. These will be during the afternoon so that pre-school
arrangements are disrupted as little as possible.
All children in the school are following guidelines laid down by the Secretary of State for
Education in the revised National Curriculum documents, including the National Frameworks for
Literacy and Numeracy. They will study the following subjects, at a level appropriate to their age
and individual development and ability:
