Students are offered courses in ten areas (Faculties) to help them maintain breadth and balance. Each area is able to provide courses which enable in-depth study.
English and Communications: where English Language, English Literature, Media Studies, and Communications are provided.
Mathematics: where students learn a wide range of mathematical skills and develop their numeracy techniques.
Science: where students study courses involving Biology, Chemistry, and Physics.
Humanities: Teaching History,Geography, and Religious Education
Design & Technology: Design Realisation, Graphic Products, System & Control, Electronics, Food Technology, Catering, Textiles, and Child Development.
Expressive Arts: Art & Design including painting and drawing, Graphics, 3-D, Drama and Music.
Modern Languages: where French & German are offered.
PE and Leisure: offering a range of individual and team sports as well as opportunities for Outdoor Pursuits
Information & Communications Technology: Discrete courses are offered as well as support for all Faculties.
Business and Social Affairs: Drawing together Business Studies, Economics, Psychology, Health & Social Care, and Leisure & Tourism
Learning Support: Providing extra help across all Faculty areas for those students with intellectual, behavioural, emotional and physical needs to ensure they have access to a broad and balanced curriculum
