WELCOME TO OUR SCHOOL!

The main buildings date from 1961 and include a Hall which accommodates the whole school with a dining area and stage, a fully equipped Gymnasium, Library, Science lab, Technology workshops, Music room, separate French department, Art and Pottery room and two specialist ICT areas. As well as these specialist areas we have additional classrooms for general teaching. its development.

In recent years we have seen the Science Laboratory refurbished, the Administration Office extended and seven temporary classrooms replaced with new ones. The design and layout of the new rooms enabled us to position four together to form a Year 5 tutor group base. A new Technology block comprising of resistant materials, food and ICT areas, followed by a textiles room and refurbishment of the music room to include separate practice rooms completed the ongoing renovations.

EXTRA-CURRICULAR

We are delighted to offer activities in addition to the normal school curriculum. These cater for a variety of interests and enthusiasms and extend the opportunities for the children significantly. Many club meetings and practices take place during the lunchtime but fixtures, rehearsals and other activities also take place after school.

A wide range of sporting activities are on offer: football (girls and boys), rugby, basketball, hockey, gymnastics, tennis, athletics, badminton, orienteering, indoor athletics (winter) and volleyball. Music activities include: orchestra, choir, Cranborne Singers, brass ensemble, percussion, and recorders. Drama is offered in preparation for productions. There are also clubs for homework, technology, stage crew, and webmasters.
