Enjoy Every Exciting Educational Experience

King’s Park Primary School is at the heart of the community

We are committed to developing a learning environment which is:

  • Happy
  • Safe
  • Caring
  • Exciting
  • And full of opportunities
King’s Park is dedicated to pursuing excellence through:
  • A stimulating and well resourced environment
  • Enthusiastic and energising staff
  • The development and encouragement of everyone at King’s Park
  • Raising self esteem and awareness of others
  • Encouraging respect
We aim to deliver an exciting and relevant curriculum through:
  • Excellent and enthusiastic teaching
  • Innovation
  • Encouraging reflection and thinking skills
  • Providing opportunities to broaden creativity and self-worth
  • Celebrating achievements with each member of our school community, every step of the way

When children join us in Reception they follow the Foundation Stage Curriculum which covers the six areas of learning these are:

  • Personal, social and emotional development
  • Communication, language and literacy
  • Mathematical development
  • Knowledge and understanding of the world
  • Physical development
  • Creative development
This provides the foundation upon which all other learning is based.

As children move from Reception into Year 1 and until they leave us at the end of Year 6 we follow the National Curriculum and QCA schemes of work. Further information about the detailed content of the curriculum can be obtained from the DFES web-site.

Here at King's Park Primary School we like to encourage our children to take part in some of the varied and exciting clubs and societies that run during and after school. Below is a list of the clubs and, if you click on their name, you can see what this club has been up to recently.
