Muscliff Primary School

Muscliff Primary School is a beautifully light and airy building which provides an excellent environment for learning. Originally built in 1997 as a one-form entry school it now admits 60 children in two classes of 30 in each year. This is due to local demand for places in this school and the Government's wish to limit early years class sizes to 30.

Our school opened to pupils in September 1997. The school is in its third year of being full and has 60 children in each year from Reception to Year 6.

Our mission is to maximise the progress of all our children so that they become positive, caring, competent citizens and lifelong learners.

We feel that it is important for all the children (and adults!) in the school to recognise their rights and responsibilities. These fair and reasonable "Golden Rules" give some protection to our rights. They are NOT mere impositions. Every class discusses and reviews their own class rules, making sure that they are relevant and reasonable!

  • Do be gentle - Don't hurt anybody
  • Do be kind and helpful - Don't hurt people's feelings
  • Do listen - Don't interrupt
  • Do work hard - Don't waste your or other people's time
  • Do look after property - Don't waste or damage it
  • Do be honest - Don't cover up the truth
