| ABOUT US
For more than 25 years the College has been very successful – so successful that several other schools have copied the model created by the International College. The leaders of the International College are widely regarded as being the most knowledgeable educationalists on the needs of non-British students who are joining the British educational system.
The International College is situated in the Dorset countryside adjoining a small market town of Sherborne. Its environment is quiet, clean, friendly and safe. It is about 2 hours from the London airports, by road or rail.
Its key features are small classes (average 6 students), small College (usually maximum of 140), highly qualified, experienced and successful teaching staff, and excellent facilities.
Each year more than one hundred boys and girls from all over the world join the International College at Sherborne, Dorset, UK. They do so as the first step towards a successful school and university education in United Kingdom.

| Since 1992 the College has run its own summer programme which we call the 'Fourth Term'. This does not form part of the standard 3-term programme and is open to students, boys and girls, who wish to come for 2, 4, 6 or 8 weeks to improve their English. The Fourth Term course is intensive with 30 lessons per week and regular homework. It should not, therefore, be considered a 'holiday' course, but a programme for the student who is keen to improve his/her command of English and also get to know something of boarding school life.
All courses are professionally staffed and organised by the International College, Sherborne School. They are for students who really want to learn in a caring, family atmosphere. Parents can relax knowing that their children are safe and happy and are receiving the best attention. |
| There are 30 lessons of 45 minutes each per week (for seniors 13+) and 26 lessons of 45 minutes each per week (for juniors 8-13). All students do 1 hour’s English homework 4 evenings per week. The lessons are lively and interesting and all aspects of the English language are covered. All our teachers are, of course, well qualified and experienced. We also teach, in English, a variety of subjects including Mathematics, Science, Geography, History, Computing, Art and Drama for the younger students, Business Studies for the older students. |
