Circle Time can take place with a whole class or a smaller group. The teacher, along with the pupils, establishes a structure of clear ground rules. Pupils engage in a combination of games, rounds and open discussion.
Circle Time provides pupils with the opportunity to experience positive relationships. The games and exercise used are designed to foster a sense of the class as a community.
These sessions are also used to develop self-esteem, listening and speaking skills as well as co-operation.
