Bare Trees Infant and Nursery School opened on 14th September 1987, caters for Infant and Nursery Children with an age range from 3 - 7 and is a co-educational day school.

The building is modern in design, with teaching areas fully carpeted, and practical areas where children can engage in practical activities such as sand and water play, painting, cooking and a variety of art and craft activities. The overall design of the building is flexible to enable a variety of teaching styles and methods. Each teaching area has it own entrance, cloakroom and toilet/washing facilities. The Nursery and Reception classes are provided with 'withdrawal areas'.

The school has facilities to accommodate 240 full-time children. At present the school has 239 full-time pupils. Children are admitted according to procedures specified in the booklet 'Primary Admissions - A Guide for Parents' which is published by the LEA.
