The school is a Primary School catering for children aged from 4 years to 11 years of age. Children are admitted in September during the school year in which they are to become 5 years of age. In addition there is a Nursery Unit for children in the 3-4-age range.

  • To support every child in achieving a complete education within a safe and caring environment
  • To support every child in helping them to succeed happily in their learning
  • To provide a broad and balanced curriculum to meet individual’s needs
  • To encourage children to do their best at all times
  • To foster close links with parents and the community

Generally the children will be taught using a variety of teaching methods usually subject specific. Work could be organised on either a class, group or individual basis. Great care is given to matching levels of work to the developing capabilities of the individual child over time.

Issues such as Health Education, Citizenship, Environmental Awareness, European Awareness and Personal & Social Education are implicit within the curriculum.

Extra curricular activity takes place at lunchtime or after school. Parents are requested to sign a permission form at the beginning of every academic year if they would like their child to take part in clubs or sporting activities, which are held, after school.

The school runs regular clubs and teams after school. These include football, athletics, gym, netball and cricket. Judo and Dance are private clubs, which are run by external agencies for the benefit of our pupils.
